Effective DIY remedies to help lighten dark underarms using natural ingredients you may already have at home.


🧴 1. Turmeric + Yogurt or Milk

Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and skin-brightening properties.

How to use:

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt or milk

  • Mix into a paste and apply to underarms

  • Leave for 10–15 minutes, then rinse with warm water

  • Use 2–3 times per week

🟡 Tip: Wear an old shirt — turmeric can stain fabrics!


🍋 2. Lemon + Honey + Sugar Scrub

Lemon is a natural bleaching agent; honey moisturizes; sugar exfoliates.

How to use:

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • Scrub gently on underarms for 2–3 minutes

  • Leave for another 5 minutes, then rinse

  • Use 2x/week

⚠️ Caution: If you have sensitive skin, lemon may sting — patch test first. Don’t use after shaving.


🥥 3. Coconut Oil + Baking Soda Paste

Baking soda exfoliates, while coconut oil moisturizes and contains vitamin E.

How to use:

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • Mix into a paste and rub gently for 2 minutes

  • Leave for 5 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water

  • Use 2–3 times per week

Avoid scrubbing too hard — it can worsen darkening.


🍃 4. Aloe Vera Gel Mask

Aloe is soothing, anti-inflammatory, and helps reduce pigmentation.

How to use:

  • Apply a thin layer of fresh aloe vera gel

  • Leave on for 15–20 minutes

  • Rinse with water

  • Use daily for best results


🍎 5. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Toner

ACV gently exfoliates and kills bacteria.

How to use:

  • Mix 1 part ACV with 1 part water

  • Apply with cotton to underarms

  • Leave for 5–10 minutes, then rinse

  • Use 3x/week

Don’t apply right after shaving — can sting!
